Mailbox Monday & Updates

So, I’ve been MIA for a while.  Around, but too busy to update here or at Royal Intrigue.  As for reading I started The Heart of the Lion by Jean Plaidy, but put it down to re-read Twilight and New Moon before the movie comes out.  I read them a year ago, but it’s amazing how much you forget.  There will probably be a review of these books on my other blog (for non-historicals) and a giveaway there as well.  Visit and become a follower for updates.  It’s rare that I read other genres, but I try not to be too biased ;)

There are some exciting things happening in blogland in regards to the Historical Fiction Bloggers Round Table that was created a few months ago by Marie at Burton Review.  We are going to be holding major events on upcoming novels.  Reviews, interviews, giveaways… you name it!  Our first event is in January and on Robin Maxwell’s upcoming novel on Romeo and Juliet, O, Juliet.  We are all so very excited about this!

As for my mailbox, Christmas came early!  I got the rest of Arrow’s Jean Plaidy reprints that I was missing (15 books) and I now have 81 of 94 Plaidy novels!  I also got a signed Jean Plaidy photograph :)  My new bookshelves are being put together – rather slowly – but I can’t complain.  They are being filled as soon as they are built.  Soon my books will be out of the garage and I really cannot wait to have them all at my disposal again!

I have some guest posts and giveaways coming, so check back!

    Hi Arleigh

We’d love to have you contribute profiles on your favorite historical fiction at http://www.bookdrum.com, where you can add information, images, video, music and links to illustrate and explore the books.

Right now, we’re running a $3,000 Tournament and we’ll be offering contract work to the best entries.

    Best wishes
